Houston, We Have A Problem

How's your summer starting? Great? Could be better that's for sure. Nothing going on in H-Town sports. Here is what I am getting subjected to on a daily basis:

-The game show called 'Can You Guess Phil Garner's Lineup?' I like the $250,000 jackpot, but they might as well make it a billion since they'll never pay out.

-Hey D, do you think we can find space on the roster for Kobe to go along KG, Rashard and McGrady? Ha, Ha Ha you guys are soooooo funny

-Oh and the Chronicle (err, I mean 'Texans Unofficial Publicist') trying hard to make us believe that a 7th rounder out of the 2003 draft is just the guy we need at the No. 2 receiver spot

-My new Rockets coach talking about changing our offense to up tempo with a bunch of guys who can't finish their layups

- Congress allocating $500 trillion in pork to conduct an investigation into the missing offense with the Houston professional sports teams

ZZZZZZ zzzzzzz Pence ZZZZZzzzzzzzz Pence ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz (keep one eye on the kid)

The new Rockets' Coach must first hold a "Fastbreak Re-education Camp" for existing personnel. Present team members are unfamiliar with the practice, and previously were convinced it was a tactic employed only by opponents. Recent Rocket running involved primarily chasing.

Managerial prodigy Phil Garner has almost finished forcing all of the square pegs into the round holes.

The Chronicle article concerning the Texans' #3 receiver is on hold until he clears waivers.

He,Garner, hasn't tried all the square holes yet. He is yet to try batting Pence 8th. I'm going to take five seconds making out the lineup.
1) Pence
2) Lorreta 3b
3) Berkman
4) Lee
5) Scott/Lamb-move Berkman to right
6) Biggio
7) Ausmus
8) Everrit
9) probably a better hitter than 6 thru 8

Once B-i-g-g-o gets 3000 move him to manager and let Burke play 2b,his natural postion, and maybe he'll start hitting.

I like your lineup, which evidently too obvious. The manager of a MLB team must be smarter than everyone else, so he cannot do what is expected. I really like Pence in the leadoff until we get a true leadoff hitter.

Apparently Phil subscribes to Pyrrho's (the founder of the Greek school of skepticism) contention that "the senses are deceivers and the reason disagrees with itself."

All fans 12 and under are invited to take Batting Practice against the Astros' Bullpen during the next homestand. For the Bullpen pitchers' safety, plastic bats will be provided...
